DIRECTOR: Anil Senior PRODUCER: Shailesh Singh (Paramhans Creations) WRITER: Vivek Anand It has been a while since a multi-starrer comedy came along to entertain us, so keeping that in mind; ‘Dil Kabaddi’ surely does justice to its viewers. ‘Dil Kabaddi’ explores the issues of modern day marriages, where keeping their relationship alive and lively has gradually become what we may call a routine struggle for couples. The film mainly revolves around two married couples and their struggling married life, which leads them to explore some refreshing opportunities out of marriage. The first couple has Samit (Irrfan Khan) and Mita (Soha Ali Khan), who are tired of their boring and dull married life. Their story moves further when Samit, craving for an adventurous sex life, moves in with his supposedly perfect and sexy aerobic instructor, Kaya (Payal Rohatgi). This leaves his control freak wife Mita (Soha Ali Khan) alone and longing for a more caring partner. Samit and Mita’s separation pushes an ostensibly ideal couple Rishi (Rahul Bose) and Simi (Konkona Sen Sharma) to take a deeper look into their marriage, and the fact that no marriage is a ‘perfect marriage’ comes to them as a much needed eye opener. This is coz Rishi, a professor, surreptitiously fantasizes about his student Raga (Saba Azad), while his wife, a critical columnist Simi, has her own desires for the attractive art director Veer (Rahul Khanna). Moreover, to add to their already messed up lives is another twist, as Veer, who is freshly out of a broken relationship, lands up falling for none other than, Mita. With power packed performances from parallel cinema’s skilled actors, ‘Dil Kabaddi’ is sure to attract its viewers with its concoction of relationships, quarrels, and so-called “Happily Married” ideas.
